Y una vez más me sumo a la iniciativa de Merak Luna #Hayvidadespuésdelos6 porque gracias a su iniciativa nos ponemos “reivindicativas” las mamás bloggers que ya tenemos a los hijos algo crecidos y podemos contar nuestras experiencias a partir de los 6 años.
Hoy libros y lecturas….. ni que decir tiene que me encanta la temática escogida…. no recuerdo el día que abrí la sección Contagiando libros, pero si te puedo decir que llevo más de 30 entradas recomendando lecturas y libros para todas las edades….. y quieres que te diga la verdad? He llegado a una conclusión…. la gente se llena la boca con la lectura al igual que con los documentales de la 2.
Dicho lo dicho…… es a partir precisamente de los 6 que como padres debemos ayudar a nuestros hijos a coger el hábito de la lectura, y conjuntamente con el colegio fomentarla e incentivarles a leer… que La lectura sea una Aventura como os contaba hace unos días.
Es fácil…. lo que requiere es tiempo, paciencia y más paciencia….(yo no dispongo de tiempo ni de paciencia, pero bueno) porque leer 3 líneas son más de diez minutos…. están aprendiendo y hemos de ser conscientes de ello.
Pero a los 6 no hay problema…. su propia curiosidad y sus ansias de aprender a leer y escribir son tales que cogen el libro sin problemas…. la “quid” de la cuestión es cuando ya saben…. esos cursos en los que les “obligan” a leer título que a los niños se les trae el pairo (vulgarmente dicho)… y claro no ayuda porque entonces leer se convierte en un “deber” y no en un placer….. y si encima sumamos los tiempos que corren… pues leer leer como no sea el Wass poco leen.
¿Porque mi hijo no lee? es una pregunta que se repite en muchos hogares por lo que algo no lo estamos haciendo bien. Mirar en Finlandia… el valor de la lectura es SAGRADO…. pero claro.. allá las familias acuden a las bibliotecas y ludotecas con asiduidad en cambio aquí les llevamos a un chiquipark.
Personalmente pienso que involucrar a los niños en la elección del título, y que lea lo que le gusta y le interesa no lo que algunas veces les es impuesto es fundamental para que la lectura se convierta en PLACER.
Regalar libros y cuentos en Navidad o en fechas especiales debería ser otra de las “reglas” para labrar el buen camino al hábito de la lectura, menos juguetes y más cultura y ni que decir tiene visitar librerías y bibliotecas…. acudir a cuentacuentos cuando son más pequeños.
No quiero decir con ello que sea garantía de éxito….pero que será más fácil acercarlos al maravilloso mundo de los libros, de los sentimientos, de las historias seguro.
Los adolescentes por norma no leen…. porque ya leen en el colegio, porque ya estudian y porque creen que ya leen demasiado… asocian libro con estudios…. pero pienso firmemente que cuando evoluciones y salgan de esa edad del Pavo si hemos inculcado lectura, hábitos y demás…. leeran.

¿Recomendaciones? si.. muy posiblemente la gente esperaba que yo hoy recomendara títulos….. pero no lo voy a hacer…. no porque no quiera, si no porque cada recomendación que he publicado ha sido mirada con cariño y no sabría cual elegir…. así que en la pestaña de CONTAGIANDO LIBROS tienes títulos para cada ocasión y para todas las edades….

Aún no veo al mayor en donde me gustaría pero se que estamos bien encaminados, la base de lectura es fuerte y ellos se interesan solos.

23 octubre, 2014 at 9:25 pmPones el dedo en la herida al asegurar que se necesita "paciencia y tiempo" y los padres, hoy en día, nos amparamos en que carecemos de ambos para hacer ese trabajo silencioso que es fomentar la lectura. Por eso, yo añadiría que, además de paciencia y tiempo hace falta voluntad. Yo la tengo, no siempre, pero generalmente la tengo. Pero también reconozco que me queda mucho camino por arar y que, sinceramente, por ahora los resultados son satisfactorios solo a medias. Me han encantado todas las recomendaciones que haces, lo de visitar bibliotecas me parece fundamental! Y seguiré acumulando títulos en mi lista de la mano de "Contagiando libros".
